Moe could get sanctioning if he applied to the NZFBB committee and they passed it. But, remember IFBB here drug tests and when you have a sanctioned event here in NZ to the IFBB you have to adopt the drug testing. I had a look into running a show away from the NZFBB (like the Country Classic) but once I looked into it I would have to adopt the testing like the previous shows I ran for the NZFBB. Australia,as far as I know do not do drug testing in their IFBB competitions,New Zealand is unique in that respect,so that is why Craig(Outlaw) could get his show through because their were no hiccups as far as testing went....

You are correct Beckie. Thats one BIG thing I noticed when I went on my first trip as a team manager to the Australasians that they didn't drug test. They had girls bigger than our guys!! Not that it meant anything especially condition wise.
NZFBB adopted drug tested about 2000 as it meant more funding for the federation ie SPARC if it adopted a IOC drug testing programme. Unfortunately they never came through with as much $$ as was anticipated.
Craig still had to be approved to have an affiliated show regardless.

My condolences to Moe and his family. Family should come first.
I'm sure that once Moe has everything back on track he can have another look at doing this show. It is good for bodybuilding.
One thing he should look at with regards to price money and whether it effects competitors amatuer status, is, instead of cash prizes, have goods. Eg: Plasma TV's, Entertainment Centres and the like to the value of for the placings. This gives the winners something to look at down the road, cash is quickly spent.
