A St. Louis weight-loss instructor is suing The Coca-Cola Co. over its product loyalty campaign, claiming the program might encourage kids to drink so much of the sugary soft drink that they could die. The campaign, called "My Coke Rewards" gives customers points for buying Coca-Cola products. Customers trade in points for prizes that range from baseball gloves to free vacations. news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.asp?feed=AP&Date=20060713&ID=5866337

Coca Cola has been around for generations. Why? Because they know how to get the customer to buy.
I was just talking about this with friends today funny enough. They were discussing price from one store to another and the inflated prices at service stations. The manufactures slap truck loads of the stuff out for nicks, the consumer pays 4 times or probably even more per litre than what it costs to make.
It's flavoured carbonated water and it's a great hit because Coca Cola can afford the best when it comes to advertising. Being the soft drink giant that they are I don't see the person attempting to sue getting very far, but thumbs up for trying.
