what do you all use? I'm lactose intolerant so have to use a Whey Isolate....Through my comp prep last year I used Syntrax Essence which also had the added bonus of not having any aspartame.(Joe advises me not to have anything with this in it). On a recent trip to Oz I found one called Goliath Trim and Tone which was also aspartame free. I got the Mocha flavour and its quite tasty! Unfortunately you can't get it here in NZ!

I use pretty much anything that is on special. In my 11 years of insanity , I mean BB, I have used almos every powder out there!!! At the moment Optimum brand I use. I only use Whey P/powders on my oats at 7am and 10:30am as I am a firm believer in eating solid foods. Mix with trim milk off season and water pre-contest

When I first started training I was using McCarthy's 99% pure unadulterated protein. No flavours, no this, that or the other thing, it was crap, hard to mix and milo was the only thing I added should carbs be required.
Then I ventured on to Aussie Bodies, tasted a lil' better but again not that good on the mixing.
Later I went on to BodyRipped, thought I hit the jackpot, it tasted good, it mixed well with milk or water, and made my breakfast cereal more enjoyable.
Was given a 5kg bucket of that Ladybird protein by a rep who was offering me sponsorship. It's still sitting in the shed, no wonder they were giving it away, it tastes disgusting, bloated me up after only 2 serves. I can't even give it away and after reading what's in it, no wonder no one uses it, it's designed to keep you fat. The carbs and soy content is huge.
Tried a few other over the years, some good, some ok, some well, lets just say I've saved money not buying them even when they're on special.
Been on Max's HP+ for a while now, but only as I get it at a good price. Been thinking about the Cell Biology line, but have held back for the moment due to lack of responce and my current situation work wise.

LOL, no, I didn't say Ladybird was good for off season. In fact I'll go as far to say that it's shit. Check the labels, look how high the carbs, sugars are, look how low the whey protein is.
I see these "womens only" boutique gyms stock Laybird and a few other cheap brand names I see in the supermarkets, all full of soy protein and I look at the cliental using it and see that they are no closer to their weight goals than they were 12 months earlier when they joined. Why, because they've been brain washed into thinking that weights and protein powder will turn them into muscle bearing she/beasts.
Anyone here who has weight trained long enough knows this is not to be true, it takes the right diet and training methods to create the muscle these women are scared of. I see them cringe away from a 5kg dumbbell saying "Oh I don't want big muscles" yet they tote around a 10kg handbag all day.
Proof right there, yet they don't want to see it because it doesn't come in a can...Go figure....pun not intended....They just can't grab the concept and are easily lead by marketing gimmicks. If it has a picture of a hot as sports model on the label and says they'll lose 5kg in a week they'll buy it. Yet if a PT comes along and says with a calorie controlled high protein diet and some weight training along with your other exercise will help you lose 5 kg of fat and gain 3kg of lean mass in a month they'll say the PT is full of shit, because all they see is the 2 kg loss, regardless that they've dropped a full dress size.
Bottom line, protein isn't just mens protein. Womens protein is mens protein with more sugar, in a smaller container with a scoop of soy added and a bigger price tag per 500g. People need to read the labels and think logic. I'd rather pay for a 5kg bucket of what some people "think" is a mens only product and save $$$ than pay a 1/3 more per 500g for a smaller tub.

Have you ever tried the Goliath ones? I got some of their WPI 90 because its not got any aspartame....not bad! What are some other good Aussie powders that aren't too sweet? Most of the NZ ones are gross!

That is so, so true. Aussie Bodies is another one marketing womens protein and making twice the profit out of it as the regular protein powder they are already making at least 100% profit on. What a load of shit!!! I sell Aussie Bodies powder and choose not to sell any of the female product line because I can't sell something I know is shit or don't believe in.

I'll only use Aussie Bodies in a pinch now and definately not the women stuff, it's crap.
BodyScience did it also not long after they hit the shelves. It was like within 3 months of coming out to the public they went straight to the dumb bimbo's wallets with their womens blends of protein powders, tribulus potions and the like. I picked up the products, looked at the labels and thought, what a rort. But there are people out there who will fall for it and hand over those $'s like it was gospel. Even after someone shows them where they are getting ripped off they still go for it, in which case, say bye bye to your dollars hope you can train harder to burn off the added carbs, we tried to warn you.
