For those in NZ we are lucky enough to have ACC. Can't tell you all enough that if you have an injury please go to the doctor or physio and get it registered. If the problem persists in the future and you need further treatment for it if you have been covered by ACC then the likelihood of them paying for half or even most of your treatments costs are high!

ACC is a very interesting 'beast' to deal with. Two years ago, I injured my knee tripping down stairs at work, previous to this I was running 10-15kms/day. After numerous specialist visits and MRIs my case manager decided - as there was no obvious mechanical injury I was 'cured' therefore they (ACC) would pay no further contributions to my medical costs. I cannot squat properly, cannot run - which I miss so much , still have constant pain and worse - loose one weeks pay a month - but according to ACC I'm fixed :-(
