The healthiest alcoholic drinks. What ones are lowest in calories and which give the greatest health benefits?
What are your thoughts?

Yeah red wine would be my first choice. Nothing better than cracking open a nice red on a weekend. Pity I haven't been able to for the last 2 months and won't be able to for another 4 Has plenty of anti-oxidents etc but packs plenty of sugar to!!!

Vodka apparently, has no residual carbs. But honestly, calling any alcoholic drinks healthy would be a misinterpretation.
Red wine is said to have it's benefits, it's been suggested that 1 glass a day is good for the heart.
Beer is said to have it's benefits, it's been suggested that 1 10oz glass a day is good for digestion. (Might explian those horrid beer farts) This goes for Stout also but go easy, it slaps on the weight.
White wines are said to aid circulation.
Personally, moderation is the key. Nothing worse that a great night out on the town with friends is wrecked by a morning where you wish you could take your head off and hide it in the bottom draw till the queezy belly settles down. Not that it is entirely the alcohol's fault, coca cola contributes alot to peoples queezy bellies the next day. Try a night drinking nothing else but straight coca cola, I'll garrantee you'll feel you drank from the Yarra and ate 3 of those stinking Kababs.
So, which alcoholic beverages are healthy? None, some are just worse than others.
