I've been using carnitine for a while to maintain energy and muscle while losing weight. I've found it really good for keeping energy and strength up despite cutting my food intake by about half.
I had read an article a while ago that suggested it might help build muscle as well but the article I read was less than convincing (study based on chickens)and implied fairly massive doses would be needed. I take 4 tablets (occasionally 6) per day depending on exercise and food intake.
Anyone else been using this will good results for weight loss? Anyone tried heavier doses with any useful result or adverse effect?

I know lots of people who use it for fat loss with good results. Like everything else you have to be consistent with diet, weights and cardio and of course have patience!
