who out their lives on these things .... that is eats more than 2 a day? Do you find they give you gas and bloat your stomach?
Which ones do you like the most??
Personlly I like te Cookies n Cream EAS bars but know the protein in them really are from a crap source!!!!!! HPLC ones aren't too bad and they seem more substantial than the others.
Danger with these bas is they just don't measure up to real protein sources like chicken, fish, steak, eggs an whey powders...the are the Big Mac's of BB foods!!!

I used to chew through alot of bars especially the Horleys Carb Sense ones-now I prefer real food, much more filling even though its a little more inconvenient!

I eat the Horley's Carbless bars (carbless...yeah right) but not for the protein, that's for sure!

the "low carb" bars definitely have next to no effect on blood sugar levles hence insulin levels do remain low. They are good like that. My ex is a diabetic and one weekend I did blood sugar tolerance tests on me with her blood montiroing kit for the most popular bars on the market (EAS, Musashi, Balance, HPLC and MuscleTech). My blood sugar levels changed by less than 1% in ALL instances. So the companies claims are right in that they do not significntly influence blood sugar levels.

Protein bars are ok now and then if on the run and caught out for time and risk missing a meal, but personally, I wouldn't rely on them.
Real foods are far more better and satisfying. You just have to prepare ahead of time and take meals with you.
